An unprecedented historic mixed under 16s singles friendly was played between Edmond Lewin and Ella Redfern
The Millennium Cup Organising Committee has reviewed the outcome of the historic match between Wigmore’s Ella Redfern and Norbury Park’s Edmond Lewin in the combined Girls/Boys Under 16s played on Sunday 17 May, and has deemed this to have been a ‘friendly’ and not within the scope of the competition.
In the previous report posted on the website no points were awarded, although Ella won the match, but the Committee has subsequently decided that both Wigmore and Norbury Park should have been awarded a point as technically both players had received a walkover in each of their respective events.
The corrected result has therefore been adjusted to reflect this decision and now stands at Norbury Park 5 and Wigmore 4 for the tie.
